Simple itinerary:
Day 1: Tbilisi – Omalo
Trip to Tusheti, Arrival Kakheti region by the Gombori pass. On the road short stop at Alaverdi monastery(11c). Crossing Abano pass at the elevation 2926m, Arrival in the village Omalo.
Sightseeing around the village Omalo - visit Ethnographical Museum of Tusheti and watchtowers of Keselo.
Overnight in Omalo at the Guesthouse
Day 2: Omalo - Oreti
At 9 am after breakfast drive by car from Omalo to village Kumelaurta from where we start hike to the direction Oreti lake. Along the way we cross alpine meadows and have spectacular view whole Tusheti, Also en route to Oreti we pass through the Sheep farm, where you can observe tradition activities of Tushetian shepherds. Sightseeing around Oreti lake and have a lunch nearby Lake.
Overnight staying either in Camps or return in the village Omalo and staying at the same Guesthouse.
Day 3: Oreti – Shenako - Diklo
Morning after breakfast Start hike down by the same path till village Kumelaurta from where we drive by car towards Shenako, Along the Chagma gorge. Arrive in village Shenako(2080m) from where we start hiking to the directions. On this day we visit most beautiful villages and monuments of Chagma gorge: Shenako, Diklo and ancient ruins of the villages Ageurta and Old Diklo. Sightseeing around this villages, visit Church of the Holy Trinity (19c) in Shenako and ancient brewery. On the way to Diklo we pass through alpine meadows and see beautiful views of Diklo Mountain 4285m. Aslo from the Old Diklo place we can see Dagestan border mountain range (Batsi-Butsi) and Dagestan Mountains.
Overnight in the village Shenako at Guesthouse. Dinner with national dishes and Georgian wine
Day 4: Shenako - Tbilisi
After breakfast Depart to Tbilisi
