Simple itinerary:
Day 1: Tbilisi – Omalo
Trip from Tbilisi to Tusheti. On the way visit Alaverdi Monastery (11cc).
Arrival in Tusheti by crossing main Caucasus ridge over Abano Pass at an elevations 2926m.
Sightseeing around village Omalo, visit Kesalo fortress and Ethnographical Museum of Tusheti.
Overnight in Omalo at the Guesthouse.
Day 2: Omalo - Dartlo
After breakfast at 9 am, start walk to the direction village Dartlo. En route visit some of the beautiful sites of Tusheti – Que, Gele. Crossing the Pirikiti-Gometsari Watershed ridge and arrival in Dartlo. Village Dartlo With its ancient well preserved traditional architecture is included in the list of protection of UNESCO. Short sightseeing around the village, visit Dartlo community stone Court, Listen interesting stories about towers bravely standing in the heart of the village and then continue our way up to village Kvavlo and Dano from where you will have spectacular views on the Pirikiti valley. Overnight in Dartlo
Day 3: Dartlo - Chesho - Parsma - Girevi - Tbilisi
At 9 am. We start our trip by driving along the beautiful Pirikiti valley. En rout we pass through the villages Chesho, Parsma and Girevi. Explore surroundings of the villages, have a lunch near by village Girevi and then depart to Tbilisi. End tour.
